Everywhere! 3 Lost Dogs Academy is 100% online, which means we can work with you no matter where you live. 

We’ve worked with students in Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and more.

Nope! While we’re well-known for helping overwhelmed puppy parents get through the “What the **** Was I Thinking” phase, we also work with adolescent and adult dogs.

Our training principles apply at every age. It’s never too late to improve your dog’s behavior, strengthen your bond, or start building the life you want together.

The two can sound similar on paper – both give you access to training plans and direct support from Jake and Erin – but they’re very different experiences.

Let’s break it down:

PRIVATE TRAINING

Intensive, “high-touch” support. Via Zoom and Whatsapp (texting), you’ll work closely with trainers who know you, your dog, and your exact situation.

With private training, we:

• Meet for weekly training sessions on Zoom, at a time that fits your schedule
• Create a custom training plan for you
• Break the plan into bite-sized homework so you always know what to do next
• Check in regularly to tweak things as you go
• Provide detailed feedback quickly (usually within a day) 

ACADEMY MEMBERSHIP

Primarily a self-study, self-directed experience.

You get access to all our courses, plus group Q&As and forums where you can ask questions and even submit training/behavior clips for feedback.

We give detailed replies, but response time may be a few days, and the advice you get is based on what we know from your written question (and our past interactions with you on the forums/Q&As), not an in-depth understanding of your day-to-day life with your dog.

Using a gym analogy, you can think of it like this:

Private training = a personal trainer eliminating all guesswork 

Membership = gym membership. Affordable, flexible, group support + resources

If you want to chart your own course, learn at your own pace, and like having the security of being able to ask any questions you have as you go, start with an Academy membership.

In fact, we recommend everyone start with a membership before committing to private training, so you can get a feel for our approach. 

Private training may be a better fit if:

• You want a plan designed just for you
• You’re like “ahhh all this information is overwhelming! Just tell me exactly what to do and when to do it”
• You’re dealing with tricky subjects like reactivity, food aggression, resource guarding, or extreme fear
